Job Description:
 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data platform architecture and development, with deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and modern data engineering tools and practices.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, robust data pipelines and data warehouse solutions that power critical business insights and decision-making.
 

Key Responsibilities: 

Data Platform & Warehouse Development:

• Design and build scalable data platforms and data warehouses using Snowflake.
• Implement best practices for performance tuning, data modeling, and storage optimization in Snowflake.
• Handle data ingestion, transformation, and loading from a variety of sources including structured and semi-structured data.
   

ETL/ELT Pipeline Development:

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Airflow, etc.
• Ensure data is clean, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner.
   

SQL Expertise:

• Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Perform query tuning and performance optimization for large datasets.
   

Cloud Platform Knowledge:

• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, utilizing data engineering services like S3, Glue, Redshift, Azure Data Factory, etc.
• Integrate cloud-native services into data pipelines and workflows.

Data Pipeline Optimization:

• Develop and optimize distributed data processing systems using Apache Spark or similar technologies.
• Ensure high throughput, low latency, and resilience in data pipelines.

Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs):

• Implement standards for data quality, data governance, and security.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and privacy standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Monitor and maintain data platform health and performance.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong Data Engineering background
• Snowflake (Data Warehousing)
• SQL (Advanced level proficiency)
