Job Description: Graphic Designer – Freelancer (Project basis)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our team at NetZero. As a co-founder of the platform, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive literacy and skilling courses to empower individuals and organizations in their transition toward a net-zero future. We are looking for a talented individual who can design, storyboard, and develop interactive, SCORM-compliant courses that will be uploaded onto our Learning Management System (LMS).

Responsibilities:

Design and Storyboarding:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to understand course objectives and content.
• Create visually appealing designs and graphics that align with the course content and target audience.
• Develop storyboards and wireframes to outline the structure and flow of the interactive course modules.
• Ensure the designs and storyboards effectively communicate the key concepts and engage learners.

Interactive Course Module Development:

• Convert the approved storyboards into interactive course modules using SCORM authoring tools.
• Utilize multimedia elements, such as graphics, animations, videos, and quizzes, to enhance the interactivity and engagement of the courses.
• Ensure the courses are SCORM compliant and compatible with our LMS platform for seamless integration and tracking of user progress.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the courses meet industry standards, user expectations, and reflect the latest developments in climate literacy and skilling.

Requirements:

Graphic Design and Storyboarding:

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role, with a focus on e-learning or instructional design.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of visual design principles and ability to create engaging and visually appealing course materials.
• Experience in storyboarding and wireframing to develop course structures and flow.

SCORM-Compliant Course Development:

• Solid knowledge and experience with SCORM authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to develop interactive e-learning modules.
• Familiarity with SCORM standards and best practices for course packaging and integration.
• Ability to convert storyboards into interactive course modules while ensuring SCORM compliance and user interactivity.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with subject matter experts and instructional designers.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate design concepts and incorporate feedback.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Experience in designing courses or educational materials focused on climate literacy, sustainability, or related topics.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and experience with course uploads and integration.
• Knowledge of gamification and interactive learning techniques.
