Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data and Network Security Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on safeguarding our company's data and network infrastructure from various security threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data security and network protection strategies, demonstrating a proactive approach to cyber security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain robust data security policies and practices to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Design, configure, and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities within the network and data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security practices into the network architecture and data management systems.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, providing thorough analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques, applying this knowledge to strengthen the company’s security posture.
• Facilitate security awareness training for employees, emphasizing the importance of security best practices and protocols.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data security and network protection, with a preference for candidates having up to 6 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, data encryption standards, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Proficiency in security software, as well as experience with firewall and intrusion detection systems configuration and management.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and threats.
• Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
